A natural lip look

Nothing says warm weather look like a very natural look for your lips.  Soft and sheer and the key words.  Here are a few of my "go to" nude looks for this spring and summer.

Bobbi Brown cosmetics lip gloss in Naked, Nude and Pink Bluff.  Love these shades.  I like to use Bobbi Browns lip pencil in Naked and Brownie shades.

From Lancome the ever popular Juicy Tubes.  These sweet little tubes are an easy fit in your purse or an evening bag.   Take a look at these beauties: Fruity Pop, Simmer and the big Oscar fav on the red carpet this year Spring Fling.

This little gem will not launch until April 1st.  It is a limited edition treat from Lancome called 100% Natural Origin Juicy Tubes. Since it is a limited edition make plans to head over to the Lancome counter or go online to purchase this gloss.  You will not want to be  without it, trust me....wink wink!! Sheer Sweet Shade is your best bet for the nude look. Don't forget to pair your Juicy Tube lip gloss with a great lip liner.  Ideal or Sheer Natural Le Lipstique will complete your lip look.

Spring Makeup Trend 2010

The Natural Look requires a flawless face.  Bare minimum makeup. Healthy skin that includes daily cleansing, toning, moisturizer and an eye product.  Last but not least is daily use of a sunscreen.
For makeup limit your products to mascara, a nude gloss, powder foundation and a bronzer.
The trend for Spring 2010 carries sheer pinks, sheer corals and nude colors.
Have you worn a nude makeup look before?  Please share the details with me.

Sunglasses

Officially one week remains for old man winter - Woo Hoo.  Can you believe it?  My fingers are crossed that the threat of snow and ice vanish with each days passing.  Ground Hog Day is the first hint that Spring may be arriving soon.  The next hint for me is the confirmation that the pitchers and catchers (baseball) have reported for Spring trainining.  Baseball is fun to watch but not as good as football.  Look for a post in early April about the spring UGA football game. All this fuss about springtime jas me wondering about a new pair of sunglasses.
Here are a few suggestions found on the sunglassmanonline.com page
First the Rayban look a like

The Juicy Couture look a like

Next, the Chanel look a like

Finally, the Coach look a like

My choice for the season?  Alex, by Lilly Pullizer.
What sunglasses are you wearing this Spring?

A makeup Queen hangs up her brushes?!?

Whew!  CrAzInEsS lives here at the Powderpuff Palace or at least for the last 2 weeks it has.
It all started the Saturday before my natal day. The hubs and I went to Saturday evening Mass.(not unusual) Once Mass was over we came home for dinner. As we pulled into our driveway, I noticed that all of lights were on inside of our house.  Strange but I did not say a word. We ventured out of the car on to the back porch.  More lights were on and people were in our kitchen.  Now, I am a little freaked out.  Then it hit me.  This was a surprise birthday party for moi!  The cosmetic queen in me looks at the hubs and asks "Oh, is this a 50th birthday surprise for me?"  "Does my makeup look ok?"  Turns out it was a surprise party for me.  Great fun, good food, lots of laughter.  The hubs and crew did a FAB-U-LOUS job.  He even had the event catered!!!  Never saw it coming.  Sign #1, she is slowing down for sure!
The day after the big FIVE OH some un-invited guest (virus) decided to show up and ruin a perfectly good birthday week.  For those of you who have endured the stomach crap, I feel for ya.  That was horrible!  It has taken me a full week to feel human again.  Sign #2  that I am slowing down :(
Just as I  am beginning to feel like a human being again, water stains appear in our family room ceiling.  Great.....how much is this going to cost?  Three estimates and a very l-o-n-g week later....a simple joint replacement under the guest room bathroom tub.  We now have holes that required the drywall guy to come out and make a few dineros.   Looks like I won't be getting that new Beamer any time soon, drat.  The straw that almost broke the old girls back came on Thursday.  Let's just say that the Chamber of Commerce seriously needs to re-think that slogan you know the one that says "Georgia is the Peach State."  Instead, how about we use "Atlanta, the Seattle, Washinton of the south!" Rain my friends, oh yes indeed, rain like I have not seen at least since September and the floods.  It is at this time that the lights on my car decided that  they no longer need to work. Minus the drama lets just say that a few of my neighbors called me to tell me that I only had the parking lights on. Did I know it was against the law not to turn on my lights in the rain? DUH! Hubs and I take the vehicle to the garage and magically the lights come on. That trip cost $0, nada, nothing.  Less than 24 hours later we were back again at the garage.  This time it COST big.  I am seriously thinking of hanging up the makeup brush and learning about spark plugs, plumbing joints and tool belts!
